There’s nothing more exciting than a holiday abroad – and when you’re going to a location with as much history and culture as Egypt, you absolutely need to make the most of it. Beyond the basics, here are some of the non-essential items you might want to slip in your suitcase before you depart for a once-in-a-lifetime Egypt Nile cruise holiday.
A great camera
Though the majority of smartphones these days have an acceptable camera, if you’re someone that loves photography, especially of landscapes or wildlife, then a good camera is a must to bring back some fantastic photos and great memories.
A guidebook
If you want to pack in as much excitement and knowledge as possible into your holiday, then a good guidebook is a must. With our cruises taking you along the Nile and to a variety of different locations there’s plenty to learn and see, and knowing a few of the basic phrases and places doesn’t hurt either.
A cooling spray
As an African country, Egypt is generally on the hot side. If you’re more prone to the heat, a water spray can do wonders for remaining cool and allowing you to enjoy your holiday more. Whether you purchase a small bottle before you leave or grab something out and about, a cooling mist is always welcome.
A small day-to-day bag
Travelling light is important in hot weather, but ensure your bag is big enough to hold all the essentials, including sunglasses, water, and your guidebook. Whether you opt for a backpack or a cross-body bag, something less bulky is better.
