You’re going to spend quite a bit of time aboard your chosen boat when you embark on a Nile cruise. So let us introduce you to the 5 star MS Royal Esadora on which many of our trippers have spent their happy holidays.
Built in 2006, the MS Royal Esadora has been extensively renovated in recent years to offer a clean, modern and elegant boat from which to enjoy the delights of Egypt and the Nile.
The vessel has five decks with 61 cabins, all of which are on the main or upper decks and each offers balcony views. The cabins have a bath and shower as well as storage space and electric points for charging your phone and camera. Housekeeping replenishes bed linen, towels and toiletries each day.
There are two bars onboard as well as a swimming pool and plenty of open deck areas. There are two restaurants on the boat. The main one serves three meals a day with an extensive buffet to choose from or there’s an a la carte option for an extra special evening during your cruise. The main bar has a panoramic window and is a great place to relax and watch the Nile float by.
What to expect on board
During the day you’ll tend to find that the dress code is casual summer clothing while at night most people will change into smart casual clothing. If you’ve taken an ocean cruise before but not yet experienced a Nile trip you may be pleasantly surprised by the slightly more relaxed atmosphere.
You’ll tend to find most people tip the waiting and bar staff who are universally praised as being warm and helpful. There are English speaking Egyptologists on board to keep you informed about the wonders you’ll encounter along the river. All of the guides are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
All major currencies are accepted on the boat and there are a gift shop and laundry service onboard. There’s a variety of entertainment on offer during your stay and the sun deck has its own bar.
The MS Royal Esadora is one of our most popular boats because of the facilities on board and the vessel has been tastefully themed throughout with a nod to Italian architecture.
