Enjoy your first Egyptian sunrise, followed by a visit to the West Bank to the Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Afternoon sailing and overnight stay at Esna.
Morning departure to Edfu where you will visit the extraordinaryTemple of Horus, the mythical son of Isis and Osiris. Here, according to myth, Horus avenged the murder of his father Osiris by defeating his father?s brother Seth in combat. Sail on to Kom Ombo to visit the Temple of Sobek and Haroeris and then onto Aswan for the night.
Finished in 1971; it has ensured up to three harvests a year. The Unfinished Obelisk still rooted to the bedrock of pink granite and the Temple of Isis on Philae Island. After lunch relax and enjoy a trip in a traditional felluca around Elephantine Island which will lead you to the Botanical Gardens on General Kitchener island given as a gift in 1890. Here, visitors enjoy the beautiful flowers imported from Africa, India and the Far East. Optional tour to the Nubian village available in the afternoon or relax on the sun deck. Evening entertainment provided by the Nubian folk show and overnight in Aswan.
Morning optional excursion to the ancient wonder of Abu Simbel by air, priced at approx £180.00 pp, or £65.00 pp by road. Morning at leisure for those who are not taking the optional Abu Simbel trip, a chance to lie in the sun, or wonder around the busy city of Aswan. Lunch on the boat while the boat departs to Esna.
Visit the partly excavated Temple of Khnum at Esna. Dedicated to the ram- headed god Khnum, who was the patron god of the cataracts, who is said to have fashioned mankind from Nile clay on his potters wheel. Sail back to Luxor and overnight.
Tour the East Bank with a visit to Luxor Temple, originally joined to Karnak by an avenue of sphinxes. Visit Karnak which covers a huge area and includes several temples, the largest being the Temple of Amun. Overnight in Luxor with an optional Karnak Sound and Light show priced at £22.00 pp.

Optional, Depart morning to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt and then to Saqqara, where the Step Pyramid built by King Djoser, the first Pharaoh to have his tomb built in monumental dimensions. His enormous Step Pyramid stands as a symbol of strength and powerful state, with the divine king at its centre. After lunch, the tour continues to Giza, where the famous Pyramids stand as monuments to the Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt and the Great Sphinx, which has kept its secrets for centuries
Optional, Depart after breakfast to The Egyptian Museum, containing fabulous treasures from Egypts ancient past including the magnificent Tutankhamun collection. After lunch, the tour continues to the Citadel, a fortress built in 1183 AD, which houses a number of important monuments, including The Mosque of Mohamed Ali and Al-Gawahara Palace. The day finishes with a visit to the Khan el Khalil Bazaar.
