Originally opened in 1998 and rebuilt from the ground up before reopening in 2009, this is the city’s most complete resort: a low rise, contemporary hotel wrapped in gardens at the water’s edge, where feluccas drift past the pool terraces and the sun drops behind the hills of the West Bank opposite.
The setting is the quiet masterstroke. Most Luxor hotels crowd the corniche in the centre of town; this one sits a couple of miles north beside New Karnak, which brings peaceful nights, open river views and the temples of Karnak within walking distance. Luxor Temple, the museum and the souk are a short drive away, so you trade a little convenience for a lot of calm.

We sell the hotel bed and breakfast or half board, and in a sightseeing city that is exactly right. Breakfast is a generous international buffet in Rosetta, taken indoors or on the terrace with the Nile beyond, and an early start still gets you to Karnak for opening time. Half board adds your evening meal, normally served in Rosetta, keeping lunch flexible for excursion days or a long grill by the pool at Olives.
