Accommodation at Kempinski Nile Hotel Cairo splits neatly in two: Madina rooms and suites look over the city and the hotel’s garden side, while Nile categories face the river. The pool sits on the roof beside The Rooftop bar, a neat 10 by 5 metres and about 1.4 metres deep, ringed by sun loungers with the Nile and the Cairo skyline spread out below. It is a boutique city hotel pool, ideal for a cooling dip and an hour in the sun between sightseeing rather than a full resort day, and the bar alongside keeps you supplied with cold drinks, mezze and cocktails as the sun goes down.
The hotel’s spa, run with the European Resense group, is a genuinely calming escape from the city. Treatments cover massages, body scrubs and wraps, facials and hand and foot care, with couples treatment rooms for shared appointments and a sauna, steam room and spa tub to linger over afterwards.
