Whichever floor you land on, the essentials are the same: calm Art Deco styling, Egyptian cotton bedding, a 55 inch TV and a proper five piece bathroom with a rain shower. Standard rooms measure around 33 m² with a king bed or two twins. What changes as you climb the categories is the view, the floor space and, at Fairmont Gold level, a private lounge that quietly transforms a bed and breakfast stay.
The entry category looks inland across Cairo’s rooftops rather than over the water. You get the same footprint, bathroom and bedding as the river facing rooms, so it is the sensible choice if you plan to be out from dawn and want the Fairmont polish at the gentlest price.

We sell this hotel bed and breakfast, which is exactly how we would book it ourselves, because Cairo evenings are made for eating out, whether downstairs in the tower or across the city. Breakfast is a lavish buffet, normally served in L’Uliveto, the all day Italian restaurant, with an international and Egyptian spread to set you up for a Pyramids morning.
