Curving around the sheltered bay of Sahl Hasheesh on Egypt’s Red Sea coast, KaiSol Romance Resort is an adults-only escape created with couples in mind. Formerly known as the Premier Romance and later the Sunrise Romance, this is a resort with romance written into its name and its layout: a private beach on calm, swimmable waters, pools reserved for unhurried days, and quiet corners that feel a long way from the buzz of Hurghada, twenty minutes up the coast.
Stay here on an all inclusive basis and your days take care of themselves. Mornings drift between the beach and the heated main pool, afternoons might bring a hammam session in the spa or a snorkel over the bay’s coral, and evenings move from a la carte dining spanning Italian, Asian, Indian and Lebanese kitchens to live music under the stars. With the boutiques and cafes of Old Town Sahl Hasheesh a short stroll away, you have just enough on the doorstep without ever needing to leave the bay.

Every room and suite at KaiSol Romance Resort comes with a private balcony or terrace, so wherever you stay you have somewhere to sit with a coffee as the sun comes up over the Red Sea. Interiors are contemporary and uncluttered, with king-size or twin beds, air conditioning, satellite television, a minibar, tea and coffee making facilities and free WiFi throughout.
Superior Rooms look towards the city or the mountains and make a comfortable base for couples or friends travelling together. Deluxe Rooms step things up with a choice of outlooks: Pool View rooms face the resort’s lagoons and gardens, while Sea View rooms put the bay of Sahl Hasheesh front and centre from your balcony.
For something more indulgent, the Deluxe Jacuzzi Room adds a private Jacuzzi to the standard Deluxe set-up, ideal for a celebratory soak at the end of the day. The Deluxe Swim Up Room is one of the resort’s most sought-after categories: a king-bedded room whose terrace opens straight onto a swim-up pool, so your first dip of the morning is only a few steps from the bed.
Whichever you choose, housekeeping is attentive and the adults-only policy keeps the whole resort, corridors included, genuinely peaceful.

Sahl Hasheesh is one of the Red Sea’s most polished resort communities: a gated, beautifully landscaped bay around twenty kilometres south of Hurghada, built around a long sweep of golden sand and some of the calmest swimming waters on this stretch of coast. KaiSol Romance Resort enjoys one of the best positions here, sitting right beside Old Town Sahl Hasheesh, a Venetian-style quarter of boutiques, cafes and waterfront restaurants that makes for an easy evening stroll.
The bay itself is the main attraction. A long pier stretches out over the shallows, the snorkelling close to shore is excellent, and the famous sunken city, a collection of submerged statues a short boat ride out, is a favourite with snorkellers and divers. Beyond the bay, Hurghada’s marina, bazaars and seafront restaurants are around twenty minutes away by taxi, and day trips are easy to arrange, from desert safaris by quad bike or jeep to boat excursions to Giftun Island’s beaches. With an early start, you can even reach Luxor and the Valley of the Kings on a full-day excursion. Hurghada International Airport is roughly a twenty-five minute transfer away.

KaiSol Romance Resort is built for slow, restorative days, and the facilities reflect that. Because the resort is adults only, every sunlounger, pool and quiet corner stays genuinely tranquil.
Free WiFi runs throughout the resort, room service is available around the clock, and the front desk can arrange excursions, from boat trips to desert adventures. The pace here is deliberately gentle: this is a place for reading on the beach, long spa afternoons and unhurried dinners rather than high-octane animation programmes, which is precisely why couples keep coming back.

Dining is one of KaiSol Romance Resort’s great strengths, and on the all inclusive basis you can work your way through a different kitchen almost every night of the week. Guests consistently single out the food here as a highlight, from the breadth of the buffet to the quality of the a la carte cooking.
The Pavilion Restaurant is the resort’s main venue, serving generous international buffets through the day, with themed evenings that keep things fresh across a longer stay. For dinner, the a la carte restaurants open from early evening and each has its own character. Sicilia Restaurant serves classic Italian cooking, from antipasti and fresh pasta to comforting mains. Matsu Restaurant turns out Asian dishes with real punch, while Masala House brings the aromatics of Indian cuisine to the table. Cedar Restaurant rounds out the line-up with Lebanese mezze and grills, a lovely match for a warm Red Sea evening. Seafood lovers should book a night at Reefs & Shells, the resort’s speciality fish restaurant; note that this venue carries a supplement, but it makes a worthwhile treat for a special occasion. The kitchens are happy to adapt dishes for dietary requirements if you let them know.
Drinks are covered by a string of bars around the resort. The Romance Bar is an intimate indoor spot for a cocktail before dinner, the Fusion Bar takes things later into the evening, and the Poolside Bar keeps you topped up between swims. Down on the sand, the Palmside Bar serves the beach, while the Sea Breeze Bar adds another option for a sundowner with a view. With live music most evenings, the natural rhythm is dinner, a slow drink on the terrace and entertainment under the stars.
