Terracotta bungalows under thatched roofs, thirteen pools and a sandy shore beside the Nabq Protected Area. This is one of Nabq Bay’s biggest all inclusive resorts, and at around 15 minutes from the airport it is one of the shortest transfers in Sharm el Sheikh.
There have been Laguna Vista hotels on this stretch of Nabq Bay for the best part of two decades. The site historically traded as two neighbouring properties, the Laguna Vista Hotel and the Laguna Vista Beach Resort, and you will still spot both names in older reviews. Following a top to bottom renovation completed in 2021 it is run by Pickalbatros, the Egyptian group behind some of the Red Sea’s most popular all inclusive resorts, and sold as a single resort. Some booking sites list it under a slightly longer name. It is the same place, and we cover it here as one.
The character is low rise and garden led. Around 550 rooms, bungalows and suites spread between a three storey main building, its wings and lanes of single storey thatched chalets, so it feels more village than tower block despite the scale. Days revolve around water: thirteen pools at the last count, among them an indoor pool and several heated through the winter. The beach sits within one of the most protected marine environments in Sinai, with a reef offshore and a jetty for snorkellers.
In our view this is one of the strongest value bases for all inclusive holidays in Sharm El Sheikh. The 24 hour board basis genuinely runs around the clock, the animation team works hard without being pushy. It is a big, sociable resort, so couples after hush should look at the adults only Pickalbatros Laguna Club next door, a sister hotel whose guests share these facilities. We arrange both.

Accommodation splits into three broad camps: deluxe and family rooms in the main buildings, the much loved thatched bungalows scattered through the gardens, and a top shelf of suites rising to a two floor villa with a private pool. Whichever you pick, expect air conditioning, a flat screen TV, a minibar and a balcony or terrace, with interiors refreshed in the 2021 renovation. Sizes are generous by Sharm standards, and entry level rooms start at around 45 m², which is bigger than many hotels’ suites. Pickalbatros badges this as 24 hour all inclusive and, unusually, the label holds up. Soft drinks pour around the clock at the Lobby Bar, an early breakfast is laid from 01:00 for anyone landing late or leaving on a dawn excursion, and the main restaurant reopens for a late dinner that runs to midnight. Between the set mealtimes there is a food court, a beach snack restaurant and a waffle and sweets station, so nobody at Pickalbatros Laguna Vista in Sharm El Sheikh ever waits long for the next plate.
The private beach is a broad ribbon of golden sand a short stroll from the rooms, looking out over Nabq Bay towards the island of Tiran. This corner of Sharm sits beside the Nabq Protected Area, a national park of mangroves, seagrass beds and untouched dunes, and the water in front of the hotel is part of that protected system. It makes for a shoreline that feels wilder and less built up than Naama Bay, with serious marine life a fin kick away.
The bay is shallow close in, and at low tide the sea pulls back across the reef flat, turning the shallows into more of a warm paddle than a swim. Around high tide the water comes in properly and both swimming and snorkelling are at their best. A jetty runs out over the deeper water so you can get past the reef flat without walking on it; guests consistently rate the snorkelling here, with shoals of reef fish and the occasional moray on the house reef. Check tide times at the beach each morning and plan your water time around them, as regulars do.
Divers are well served. There is a dive centre at the resort for try dives and guided trips, and the region’s celebrated sites, the Straits of Tiran and Ras Mohammed among them, are day trip territory we can help you plan. Non motorised fun on the sand includes beach volleyball, beach football and beach tennis, with motorised water sports payable locally when conditions allow.
The spa is one of the few corners of the resort reserved for adults, which makes it a genuine refuge when the pools are in full voice. Inside you will find a hammam, sauna and steam room, with a menu of massages and beauty treatments that our customers tell us are fairly priced for a five star resort. Treatments and the thermal facilities are payable locally; the gym, open from 07:30 to 20:00, and the heated pool are free to use on your all inclusive.
Landlubbers have plenty to work through. The daily programme run by the animation team moves from gymnastics and fitness sessions in the morning through darts, dance lessons and aqua gym to volleyball and yoga as the afternoon cools. Facilities around the grounds include tennis, a paddle court, mini golf, billiards and table tennis, and the beach hosts football, tennis and volleyball on the sand.
