JAZ Elite Amara is a contemporary five-star all-inclusive resort set along a sheltered stretch of Marsa Mubarak Bay on Egypt’s southern Red Sea, a short drive from the marina town of Port Ghalib. Opened in late 2023, it brings a calm, polished feel to one of Marsa Alam’s most prized coastlines, where warm shallow waters and a living house reef sit right on the doorstep.
The resort is built around a sweeping beachfront, with gardens, terraces and pools framing wide views over the turquoise bay. The mood is relaxed and unhurried, with elegant interiors, generous outdoor space and a private beach that slopes gently into clear water ideal for swimming and snorkelling.
With its all-inclusive board, a choice of pools, a tranquil spa and a dive centre on site, JAZ Elite Amara suits travellers who want comfort and easy days by the sea, combined with some of the finest marine encounters anywhere in the Red Sea.
Stylish, contemporary accommodation is spread across the resort, with around 272 rooms and suites finished in a calm, modern palette. Many enjoy sea or pool views, while others look over the gardens, and rooms typically feature air conditioning, a seating area, a flat-screen satellite television, a safe, a private bathroom with shower and a balcony or terrace.
Exact room dimensions are not published consistently across sources, so we would be glad to confirm sizes and the latest layouts for any category at the time of booking.
The resort is generous with space to relax, with seven outdoor swimming pools set among the gardens and terraces, including a pool with a swim-up bar. At least one pool is heated for cooler months, though heating arrangements can vary by season, so we can confirm which pools are heated for your travel dates.
A private beach fronts Marsa Mubarak Bay, with sun loungers, direct sea access and a jetty leading out over the house reef, ideal for snorkelling straight from the shore.
Evening entertainment and live music round out the days for those who would like it, while the bay’s calm setting keeps the overall atmosphere relaxed.
JAZ Elite Amara sits on Marsa Mubarak Bay on the Al Qusseir coast road, around 5 km from Port Ghalib and its marina, with the Madinat Coraya area roughly 12 km away. Marsa Alam International Airport (RMF) is close at hand, generally a 10 to 20 minute drive, which makes for a short and easy transfer on arrival.
This stretch of the southern Red Sea is renowned for its marine life. The resort’s own house reef at Marsa Mubarak is known for green turtles and the gentle dugong, or sea cow, that graze on the bay’s seagrass meadows. Within reach lie some of Egypt’s most celebrated sites: Abu Dabbab, famous for turtles and dugongs; the dramatic drop-offs of Elphinstone Reef, a favourite of experienced divers; and Sha’ab Samadai, the Dolphin House, where spinner dolphins are regularly seen. Diving and snorkelling trips are arranged locally and offered at an extra charge.
Many guests pair a relaxing stay on the Red Sea with a Nile cruise to see Egypt’s great temples and tombs. We can combine your beach time with a cruise aboard Classic Holidays’ own ships, the MS Royal Princess or Classic Blue Shadow IV, for a memorable beach-and-Nile holiday.
Dining is built around the all-inclusive board, anchored by a main buffet restaurant serving international and Egyptian dishes across breakfast, lunch and dinner, with live cooking stations and a regularly changing spread.
For a change of scene, the resort also offers speciality dining, including TaoTao, an Asian and sushi a la carte restaurant. A la carte and speciality venues may carry a supplement or require advance reservation rather than forming part of the standard all-inclusive board, so we recommend checking what is included on your chosen package.
Selected drinks are included under the all-inclusive board. Premium brands, certain speciality items and any a la carte dining may be available at an extra charge, and we are happy to confirm the exact terms for your booking.
