No payment now, just the details we need to build your quote.
Steigenberger Resort Alaya is a refined five-star, adults-only retreat (guests aged 16 and over) tucked into the calm, scenic curve of Coraya Bay on Egypt’s southern Red Sea coast. With its contemporary architecture, generous gardens and uninterrupted sea views, it is designed for couples and unhurried travellers who want space, peace and quiet luxury.
The resort blends the polished service Steigenberger is known for with the easy rhythm of a beach holiday. Days here move gently: a swim in one of the resort pools, time on the private stretch of beach, a treatment at the spa, then dinner under the stars. The atmosphere is calm and grown-up throughout.
Offered on an All Inclusive basis, the resort makes a relaxing, all-in-one base for sun, sea and some of the finest diving and snorkelling in Egypt, with the marine life of Coraya Bay quite literally on the doorstep.
Spacious and elegantly furnished, the resort’s 290 rooms and suites are finished in a clean, contemporary style and come with air conditioning, satellite television, free Wi-Fi, a minibar and tea and coffee making facilities. Most have a balcony or terrace, with a choice of garden, pool, side-sea or full sea views depending on the category.
The resort has around 80 swim-up rooms in total, so if a poolside terrace is a priority it is well worth requesting at the time of booking. Exact sizes and inclusions can vary by category, so we are happy to confirm the details for your chosen room.
The resort is built around water and wellbeing. Several outdoor swimming pools are spread through the grounds, including a swim-up pool bar and the lagoon pools served by the swim-up rooms. Some pools may be heated during the cooler winter months, which is worth confirming for the dates you have in mind.
A private beach with direct sea access via a jetty gives easy entry to the bay, while sun loungers, parasols and a calm, sheltered setting make it a restful spot for the day.
The mividaspa wellness centre offers a serene retreat with a sauna, steam room, Turkish bath (hammam) and Jacuzzi, alongside massages, beauty treatments and a salon; spa treatments are available to book and are charged separately. A fitness centre and active options such as tennis, squash, beach volleyball and table tennis are also on site.
For the water, the on-site Coraya Divers centre runs diving and snorkelling trips and courses. Diving, guided snorkelling excursions and any motorised watersports are available locally and are not included in the All Inclusive board.
The resort sits in Madinat Coraya, on Coraya Bay, a sheltered, scenic bay on Egypt’s southern Red Sea coast. It is around five kilometres from Marsa Alam International Airport (RMF), roughly a ten-minute transfer, making it one of the most convenient resorts in the area to reach. The marina and shops of Port Ghalib are a short drive away.
This stretch of coast is renowned for its underwater world. The bay’s own house reef is among the best regarded in the region, reached in minutes from the beach, with healthy hard and soft corals teeming with fish. Within easy reach by boat or road are some of Egypt’s signature dive and snorkel sites:
A few days of Red Sea sun and superb snorkelling pairs beautifully with the history and romance of the Nile. Many of our guests combine this stay with a cruise aboard one of Classic Holidays’ own ships, such as the MS Royal Princess or the Classic Blue Shadow IV.
Dining is varied and relaxed, centred on the main buffet restaurant with a choice of speciality venues for an evening change of scene. On the All Inclusive board, meals are served buffet-style at the main restaurant; the speciality restaurants are a la carte and may be subject to availability, a cover charge or supplement, so we will confirm what is included for your stay.
For drinks, the Amara Lobby Bar and Terrace and the Negma pool bar serve throughout the day. Selected drinks are included on the All Inclusive basis, while premium and branded labels may carry a supplement.
