Cradled within the sheltered curve of Coraya Bay, the five-star Steigenberger Coraya Beach is an adults-only retreat designed for couples and travellers in search of calm. Low-rise buildings in a warm, traditional Nubian style spread along an 800 metre stretch of soft sandy beach, with gardens, pools and palm-shaded terraces leading down to a gentle, reef-fringed shore.
This is a place to slow down. Days drift from a quiet sun lounger to the spa, from a lazy lunch to a snorkel over the house reef, then back to the water’s edge for a sundowner. As an adults-only retreat, the atmosphere stays peaceful throughout, making it a natural choice for honeymooners, divers and anyone who simply wants to switch off.
The resort sits just four kilometres from Marsa Alam International Airport, so the journey from runway to sun lounger is wonderfully short. It is offered on an All Inclusive basis, pairing relaxed beachfront living with one of the most rewarding underwater playgrounds in Egypt.
The resort offers 364 rooms and suites, arranged across the gardens and along the bay so that most enjoy an easy stroll to the beach or pools. Every room has its own private balcony or terrace, individually controlled air conditioning, an LCD television, a minibar and a safe, finished in a calm, understated style.
Accommodation is grouped into a few clear categories:
Sea-view rooms are the natural choice for waking to the colours of the Red Sea, while garden-view rooms sit among the quieter, greener corners of the grounds. If a particular outlook or suite category matters to you, our team will be glad to confirm the exact options and current availability when you enquire.
At the centre of the resort sit three outdoor swimming pools, framed by sun terraces and gardens, with at least one pool heated during the cooler months for year-round swimming. The 800 metre private beach is the real headline, gently shelving into the bay and backed by shaded loungers and quiet chill-out corners by the water.
The spa and wellness area is a calm space for unwinding, with a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, plus a range of massages and treatments available to book. A fully equipped fitness room is on hand for those who like to keep moving.
Coraya Bay is a celebrated diving and snorkelling destination, and the on-site Coraya Divers centre makes it easy to explore. The bay’s own house reef can be reached straight from the shore, ideal for snorkellers and divers alike, while guided dives and courses reach the wider sites of the region. Diving, courses, equipment hire and any motorised watersports are available locally and are charged separately from the All Inclusive board. Our team can outline what is included and what is extra before you travel.
The resort stands directly on Coraya Bay, a sheltered, reef-ringed cove on Egypt’s southern Red Sea coast, part of the Madinat Coraya resort area near Marsa Alam. It lies just four kilometres from Marsa Alam International Airport (RMF), a transfer of only a few minutes, with the marina and shops of Port Ghalib a short drive away and Hurghada some 200 kilometres to the north.
This stretch of coast is renowned for its diving and snorkelling. The bay’s house reef teems with coral and reef fish a few fin-kicks from the sand, while world-class sites lie within easy reach: the dramatic walls and pelagic life of Elphinstone, the green turtles and rare dugongs of Abu Dabbab, and the protected spinner dolphins of Sha’ab Samadai, often called Dolphin House. It is one of the finest underwater regions in Egypt, whether you dive or simply float above the reef with a mask and snorkel.
A Red Sea stay like this pairs beautifully with a Nile cruise. Combine your beach days with a few nights gliding past Egypt’s ancient temples aboard one of Classic Holidays’ own ships, the MS Royal Princess or the Classic Blue Shadow IV, for the perfect blend of culture and coast.
Dining centres on Al Maha, the main buffet restaurant, where generous spreads are served for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with international dishes alongside regular themed evenings. As part of the All Inclusive arrangement, this buffet restaurant forms the heart of the day’s eating, complemented by snacks and drinks at the bars during set hours.
For a change of scene, several speciality venues are available. Al Fayruz is an a la carte Mediterranean restaurant, while the Alwalimah Bedouin tent offers a characterful evening centred on slow-roasted lamb. These a la carte and speciality experiences, along with the wider Dine Around choices in the neighbouring Madinat Coraya village, sit outside the standard buffet board and may carry a supplement or be limited to set occasions, so it is worth checking the current terms at the time of booking.
Bars are dotted around the resort for an easy drink wherever you settle: the Night & Day lobby bar, the Margarita pool bar, the Palmito beach bar and Zuzu’s billiards bar. Selected drinks are included within the All Inclusive hours, while premium and imported labels are available to purchase.
