Tucked into the gentle curve of Coraya Bay, JAZ Solaya is a five-star all-inclusive resort set within the landscaped community of Madinat Coraya, on Egypt’s tranquil southern Red Sea coast. Just a few kilometres from Marsa Alam International Airport, it is one of the easiest beach escapes in the region to reach, yet it feels worlds away from the crowds, with warm, jewel-toned waters lapping a sheltered shore.
The resort is designed around calm, open spaces, mature gardens and a long private beach, with generous swimming pools and unhurried places to relax in the sun. The atmosphere is easy and restful, the pace gentle, and the Red Sea sunshine reliable almost year round, making it a natural choice for travellers who want to combine genuine relaxation with some of the finest diving and snorkelling in Egypt.
With all-inclusive dining, a private stretch of beach and an on-site dive centre on a celebrated house reef, JAZ Solaya works beautifully as a stand-alone sun-and-sea holiday or as the restful coda to a cultural journey along the Nile.
Accommodation at JAZ Solaya is spacious and uncomplicated, decorated in warm, neutral tones with a private balcony or terrace looking out over the pools, gardens or sea. Rooms are arranged across low-rise buildings set among the grounds, keeping things calm and close to the beach.
Room categories typically include the following:
As standard, rooms come with individually controlled air conditioning, a satellite flat-screen television, a minibar, an in-room safe, a hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. Non-smoking rooms are available on request. Exact room configurations and views can vary, so please ask us to confirm the right category for your party when you book.
The resort spreads across generous, well-kept grounds leading down to its own private stretch of Coraya Bay beach, where sun loungers, parasols and towels are provided. The sheltered bay gives calm, clear water that is ideal for easy swimming and snorkelling straight from the shore.
For relaxation and gentle activity you will find:
Diving and snorkelling are a particular highlight: an on-site dive centre (Coraya Divers) offers courses, guided dives, equipment hire and excursions for an additional charge. Spa and wellness treatments, diving, courses and any motorised watersports are available locally rather than included in the all-inclusive board, and are payable separately.
JAZ Solaya sits directly on Coraya Bay within Madinat Coraya, around 65 km north of Marsa Alam town on the El Quseir road. Marsa Alam International Airport (RMF) is only about 5 km away, a transfer of roughly ten minutes, which makes for a wonderfully short journey from plane to poolside. The self-contained Coraya Bay resort area offers a handful of shops, bars and dive bases within easy reach.
This is one of the great diving and snorkelling stretches of the Red Sea. The bay’s own house reef, Marsa Umm Gerifat, can be explored straight from the beach and is rich with coral and reef fish. Within reach by boat or short transfer lie some of Egypt’s most famous sites: Elphinstone Reef, renowned for its dramatic walls and pristine coral; Abu Dabbab, celebrated for its resident green turtles and the chance of spotting dugongs; and Samadai Reef, the protected lagoon known as Dolphin House for its spinner dolphins. All can be arranged through the local dive centre.
A few days unwinding here pairs beautifully with a journey along the Nile aboard one of Classic Holidays’ own ships. Consider combining your Red Sea stay with a cruise on the MS Royal Princess or the Classic Blue Shadow IV for the perfect blend of culture and coast.
Dining at JAZ Solaya centres on the Safari Main Restaurant, where generous international buffets are served for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with live cooking stations and a rotating choice of themed evenings. It is the lively heart of the resort and the everyday gathering point for guests.
For a change of scene, the resort also offers speciality a la carte dining at venues such as Nino’s and Sofra, where you can sit down to a more leisurely, freshly prepared meal in calmer surroundings. A la carte restaurants may carry a supplement or require advance booking and are not necessarily covered by the all-inclusive board, so we will gladly confirm the details for your stay.
Around the grounds and beach you will also find a food court of kiosks serving light snacks and refreshments through the day, along with a selection of bars including the Savana lobby bar, poolside bars and a cafe. Premium and imported drinks, and certain branded spirits, may be available at an extra charge rather than as part of the all-inclusive offering.
